Lotus and Luna er historien om ei ung jente fra San Diego i USA som etter noen måneder på reise i Asia forelsker seg i Thailand og menneskene der, om hennes opplevelser som førte til at hun følte et sterkt behov for å gjøre noe for å forbedre livet til fattige familier . Med to tomme hender har hun skapt en bedrift som i dag sysselsetter over 300 kvinner i nord Thailand og som gir de muligheten til å jobbe hjemme, ta vare på barna og samtidig forsørge familien sin sin ved at de får en rettferdig lønn for sitt arbeid !
